@ahmadhamad she was counting the bars from the first song and right after the 8th bar she mixes in the 2nd song

meh, id consider this program more of a visual aid and not so much taking the fun. if anything beginner djs will benefit from "seeing" the music while training their ears, as long as they dont rely on the visuals to create a mix. its much like training wheels learning to ride a bike. theres no auto sync in ssl either, you still gotta do it manually so it stays somewhat real even if its all digitally based.

Can someone explain the reasoning behind the way she counted before letting the track play?

It's all in the ear. She was merely demonstrating how it sounds when it is off and talking to the listener. I have a NS7 and Serato but I learned as well on "two turntables & a microphone" (if you know that songs... ;) ) Serato Itch or Scratch Live do make it easier with the waveforms, but the art has grown so much beyond that. Simple beat matching is only the first part, skill & technique comes in to play with song choices, the rhythm, cutting & scratching it up.

this program takes out the feeling and joy of the beat and music that we hear and just breaking it doiwn! it is completely ruining the feeling all real DJ's know and love!

D jing is about listening not watching waveforms. when someone is learning all they are going to do is make sure its on beat and not in time it is confusing the shit out of me when your counting the beats in diferent orders, keep it simple 8 - 16 or 32 sorry but i think this is a terrible way to teach someone to dj. house is the easiest music to learn how to dj, your video is just confusing people who want to start djing.
